Legislative Advocacy - What it is and why PTA does it

Legislative Advocacy is the process that PTA uses to identify the issues that are negatively impacting children on a statewide level and then work to resolve those issues through our Legislature.

We all joined PTA because we wanted to make a difference for children and Legislative Advocacy is the way that PTA can make the biggest difference…IF enough of us are involved.

The goal of PTA Region 9 Legislative Advocacy is to help members understand the issues impacting children and to provide easy ways to help because there are 1.5 million children who need your PTA to do Legislative Advocacy!

Every child needs YOUR voice!

What is PTA Region 9?

Region 9 consists of all PTAs within the Auburn, Federal Way, Highline, Kent, Renton, Tahoma, and Tukwila School Districts.

As Region 9 Legislation Chair, I support the advocacy efforts of all local unit PTAs within Region 9. Feel free to contact me anytime!
